Specialist Senior Circuit Judge (Chancery)

Specialist Senior Chancery Circuit Judges are responsible for resolving Chancery disputes. The JAC is currently recruiting for two positions at the Civil Justice Centres in Central London and Cardiff.

You will have a pivotal role to play not only in conducting the trial of Chancery cases, but also in the management of the court, of Chancery business, and of other judges who hear this work. You may undertake additional civil work as appropriate, and on occasion sit in the Chancery Division of the High Court in London. For the Cardiff post, there is the possibility of sitting in the Crown Court if you have suitable experience.

Eligibility: you will have at least 10 years' qualified experience in practice or at least three years in one of a number of judicial posts. If you are not a serving judge, you will have served in a fee paid capacity. Your judicial experience will have been at least at the level of the Crown Court or equivalent. The JAC has been advised that this includes Circuit Judges, Recorders and Deputy High Court Judges.
