Good character guidance
The Constitutional Reform Act 2005 requires JAC to select candidates only of good character.
JAC's good character guidance sets out the principles it will adopt in determining good character, the considerations which will be taken into account, and the process by which applicants are asked to decide whether there is anything in their past conduct or present circumstances which might affect their application for judicial appointment.
